February Theme: The Five Senses Bible Verse: “Love your neighbor as yourself” Galatians 5:14 Letter of the week: Yy
Yoga- From 8:45 – 9:15 on Tuesday and Thursday of this week we will be doing Yoga along with the Kids Yoga Silly to Calm DVD.
Wednesday- On Wednesday the children are invited to wear Yellow!
Science: This week we will be exploring the sense of smell. The children will be encouraged to smell several different items such as perfume and
chocolate and then they will document which smells they like. We will discuss what happens to a yam when heat is added and then the children will
be encouraged to smell, touch, and look at, a cooked and uncooked yam.
Language Arts: The class will complete workbook pages for Yy and a Yy dotto-dot coloring Y yellow and filling y with yarn.
Math: The children will use dinosaur learning mats to match number to number, number to dot, and sequence numbers 1-20.
Art: The class will paint with yarn, create a yellow collage and complete a “I can smell” trace and color page.
Computer: The children will be playing the Living book, “The cat in the Hat” by: Dr. Seuss
Listening Center: The class will be listening to “Smelly Bear”
