Letter of the week: Dd
Science: The children will excavate dinosaur bones in a sand filled sensory bin. We will discuss dinosaur facts including the difference between herbivores
and carnivores.
Art: The children will sponge paint a dinosaur and write their name on the dinosaur's scales. The class will create snowflakes using coffee filters, draw
animals using easel art picture directions, and create arctic animals to decorate the classroom door.
Math: Using dinosaur learning mats the children will match numbers to numbers and numbers to dots for numbers 1-15. The class will trace numbers
1-15 on reusable dinosaur learning mats. The children will create a necklace by stringing 15 cheerios and complete activities in the math bins for
numbers 1-15.
Language Arts: Using dinosaur learning mats the class will match ABC's and trace ABC's. The children will complete workbook pages for Dd.
Dramatic Play: The class will create a dinosaur diorama in a sand filled sensory bin. The children will pretend to be a zoo keeper.
Computer: The children will play “Magic School Bus: Dinosaurs”
Fine Motor: The class will lace dinosaur lacing cards.
Gross Motor: The children will play “freeze dance
